Paris Eiffel tower

Paris, this city needs no introduction. No amount of words can justify the beauty that Paris is. Some call it the city of light, but I prefer to relate it as a city of classical romance.

When one hears the word Paris, the first thing that conjures in mind is that of Eiffel Tower, but Paris has much more to offer. With its beaming cafes, cobbled streets, unparalleled skyline, world-renowned museums, chic boutiques, romantic bridges, or merely listening to people speak French; this city oozes romance.

The charismatic show that the Eifel tower puts up every day after sunset adds up to its charm.

Feelings from heart

Our impression and helpful tips

Paris is a huge city, landing at CDG airport we were quite overwhelmed by the transportation here. It is mainly divided into 5 public transport zones, making it challenging to decide on public transport tickets.

Most of the major sightseeing attractions lie in zone 1 and 2. That is why we would advise staying in this area to save your time on commuting. Going by public transport from the airport to your hotel can be a hassle as the CDG airport lies in zone 5. We went by public transportation and had a nightmarish experience with pickpockets. You can check the full story here. Be extra cautious about your stuff when you are in crowded areas.

Even though our introduction to the city did not go very well, we quickly had a change, in our opinion. Each part of this place is quite unique and has a lot to offer for everyone. Reaching the Eiffel tower and seeing it lit up at night, made us fall in love with the city.

Their names are engraved on the inner and outer walls of this structure paying them respect. A tomb of an unknown French soldier from World war 1 lies underneath it and an eternal flame is lit in honor of the warriors, which is rekindled every evening.
